It’s time for Disneyland to get their annual holiday makeover! Here are some fun facts about decorating the Disneyland Park.
Disneyland adds nearly 300 additional trees, 10,000 poinsettias, and 10,000 cyclamen to add a festive touch throughout their parks.
New this year is a festive update around the Walt and Mickey Statue in the Central Plaza at the end of Main Street. They say the decorations will include more than 7,500 individual plants.
Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle has more than 126,000 twinkling LED lights, that will shimmer during the day and illuminate during the night.
While Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle may be impressive, It’s a Small World Holiday and the surrounding plaza is illuminated with more than 400,000 twinkling lights.
It's a Small World is not the only attraction that gets a holiday overhaul, the Haunted Mansion also changes for the holidays and is themed after the classic film, "Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas." This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion attraction, so Disney has not held back on this year’s decorations. It took 6 culinary cast members 13 days to create, build, and decorate this year's gingerbread house in the Haunted Mansion.
Mickey’s Toontown also gets a little holiday pick-me-up with "toon" trees and holiday decorations.
